Teamwork, critical thinking and job success among secondary school teachers in Kampala Central Division
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between team work, critical thinking and job success. The study was intending to achieve objectives, to examine the relationship between team work and critical thinking and to ascertain the relationship between critical thinking and job success. The study was using a sample of 186 respondents who were adopted using sampling technique, data was collected using self-administered questionarries and later analyzed using SPSS( Statistical Package for Social Scientists) version 20.0. The findings show that teamwork and critical thinking are positively and significantly related (r = .318,p =.000) in addition and job success are positive than significant related(r=.406, p=.000). Lastly, job success and critical thinking are significantly and positively related(r=.405, p=.000). But it was recommended that to effectively improve job success, employees have to be in good relations with the work environment. . Therefore, the study provides a basis and implications for further investigation on the impact of interpersonal soft skills in employment. It was recommended that employers and stakeholders in the education system invest more in training programs, so as to impart these skills into the workforce and make jobs more successful.
