Our modern sedentary lifestyle has resulted in unhealthy weight gain, which causes diseases like heart attack, high cholesterol, diabetes, depression, obesity. World Health Organization (WHO) [1] suggests moderate intensity workout of at-least two and half hours of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity of seventy-five minutes for the adults aged between eighteen and sixty-four throughout the week.
Weight tracking apps have become increasingly popular tools for individuals to monitor their weight and achieve their weight loss goals. These apps typically allow users to track their weight over time, set weight loss goals, and receive reminders and motivation to stay on track. However, many existing weight tracking apps are so manual that one has to input all the required requirements, which is a waste of a lot of time and tiresome.
To address this issue, we have developed a 3D weight tracker app that utilizes advanced data analysis and numerical computations to provide users with tailored and simplified way of tracking weight, achieve their weight loss goals and be able to have their body parts measurements. Our app allows users to track their weight over time using a user-friendly 3D model of their body. This model not only displays the users current weight but also allows the user to visualize their progress towards their weight loss goals.
In addition, our app utilizes the smart phone camera to capture the users full image of the body and will calculate the Body Mass Index and Body Fat Percentage basing on the data results from the processed image.
We believe that our 3D weight tracker app has the potential to significantly improve the effectiveness of weight management for individuals seeking to achieve their weight loss goals. In this report, we will provide an overview of the features and functionality of our app, as well as the results of user testing and feedback. We hope that this report will serve as a valuable resource for individuals seeking to improve their weight management and overall health.
The purpose of the current study is therefore to design and implement an android App that will be used to track weight loss amongst a group of successful weight loss maintainers. This study focused an App because smartphone apps are the most widely used tools in the general population.
