Transactional leadership, leader trust and employee engagement among staff members of Uganda national oil company.
Abstract
This study delves into the relationship transactional leadership, leader trust and employee engagement among staff members of Uganda National Oil Company. The research aims to understand the connections between these variables and their implications on employees.
The study’s objectives involve examining the relationship between transactional leadership and leader trust as well the relationship between transactional leadership and employee engagement and the relationship between leader trust and employee engagement. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design to find out the relationship between Transactional leadership, leader trust and employee engagement utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods. Data is collected through questionnaires and interviews with analyses conducted using SPSS; a statistical tool.
The findings reveal that there is a great impact of Transactional Leadership, Leader trust on employee engagement. The findings showed that there is a relationship between Transactional Leadership and Leader trust as transactional leadership increases employees trust in their leaders. The study also revealed that employee enegagement increases with an increase in Transactional Leadership.
