Globally, heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women with more than half of the deaths occurring in men[1]. One of the most common types of heart condition is coronary heart disease. In this project (CHDD), the project members of the Coronary Heart Disease Diagnosis System investigate how coronary heart disease is diagnosed. The team found out that conducting a successful diagnosis of the disease takes a long time with a series of successive tests and quite difficult to conduct the diagnosis basing on the data collected. Therefore, the team proposed to address the issues through developing a Coronary Heart Disease Diagnosis System to effectively diagnose coronary heart disease accurately in a short period of time.
The CHDD system takes specified risk assessment variables as input, analyzes the input variables using a trained RFC model to identify the presence of coronary heart disease. It provides graphical analysis for the rate of spread of coronary heart disease, keep track of patient’s diagnosis results and notifications are sent to patients whose results turn out positive for their next checkup.
The CHDD system will mainly operate in health centers throughout the country to help in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease.
