    FAQ’s system for Utamu Library

    Abstract
    The study sought to establish the “FAQ’S system for UTAMU library”. The study objectives include; the current reference services at UTAMU Library, to design a FAQ’s system for UTAMU Library and to establish the benefits of a FAQ’s system for UTAMU Library to the library patrons. A descriptive research design was adopted and both qualitative and quantitative approaches were applied. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire and the interview guides from the respondents. Findings on the current reference services revealed there were several services which include; assistance in the use of library catalogue, assistance in the use of reference books, bibliography services, current awareness services, provision of catalogs, availability of reference desk and assistance in the location or searching for document. FAQ’s system has been designed with a link https://buyondoibrahim.website3.me/ for the library and the benefits of this system include; supports information retrieval and research, provides tailored assistance and personalized guidance, cultivates information literacy skills among library users, provides convenient and accessible support to library users and library users are able to get timely technical support. Recommendations of the study include; The management of UTAMU Library should encourage the constant training of library staff so as to be kept abreast of changes in the digital world, management should release more fund to enable libraries acquire more materials / resources and for maintenance culture, management should encourage library instruction and computer literacy as a course for all the new students to improve the students on library use and management to encourage in- service training for staff to enable them cope with newly evolved resources.
