Examining financial inclusion among youth in Uganda: analyzing the influence of financial literacy, socio-economic factors, and psychosocial aspects on financial inclusion: a case study of Bulange B, Mengo
Abstract
The objective of this research was to examine the factors that impact financial inclusion among young individuals residing in rural areas of Uganda, with a specific focus on those between the ages of 18 and 35 in the Kampala District. A total of 52 participants were involved in the study, and statistical techniques were employed to analyze the data. The study finds that income, professional opportunities, and digital financial literacy are significant factors affecting financial inclusion. The study recommends customized policies and interventions that can bridge the financial inclusion gap by promoting income growth, skills development, and job opportunities, and investing in digital financial literacy programs.
