    Abstract
    This dissertation investigates and describes meaning construction in the guild aspirants' slogans in the Makerere 2023 guild elections. It also presents the significance of the study which helped to find out the meaning construction in the Guild aspirants’ slogans in the Makerere 2023 Guild elections. The dissertation further presents the reviews of different authors about slogans, the perspective from which several authors and analysts view them, and the importance and role they play in the political sphere. It as well presents what might have been missed in relation to what slogans can affect or effect they hold in the electoral process as well together with the communication role it plays. The third chapter presents the methodology of the study which is the interview that involved using the key informant interviews, the case study, and in-depth interviews. And Chapter four presents the analysis of data and interpretation discussion and findings where respondents provided their views of the meaning construction in the guild aspirants’ slogans in the Makerere Guild elections 2023. And the final chapter which is the conclusion, presents the summary of findings together with recommendations while carrying out the research and references.
