Impact of aids on the education system of Uganda: a case study of Arabic language
Abstract
The AIDS epidemic has had a profound impact on Uganda’s education system, threatening the country’s development and future. This study examines the effects of AIDS on the education sector, including: Reduced enrolment and attendance, Increased dropout rates, Loss of qualified teachers, Decreased academic performance and Psychological trauma and stigma among students. The epidemic has also led to increased poverty, child labour, and child-headed households, further exacerbating the crisis. The study highlights the need for urgent action to mitigate the effects of AIDS on education, including: Providing support for affected students and teachers, Implementing HIV/AIDS education and prevention programs, Strengthening school infrastructure and resources and Addressing poverty and economic vulnerability. The future of Uganda’s education system and the well-being of its children depend on .effective responses to the AIDS crisis.
