    Abstract
    This research deals with the analysis of satire, its forms, and effectiveness in Rukonle-Rukiga proverbs. It also centres majorly on how satire and its forms try to bring out the message effectively in the Rukole-Rukiga proverbs. The forms of satire include: Exaggeration, irony and hyperbole. Selected Runyakole proverbs are analysed in order to show the effectiveness of satire in bringing out the message in the proverbs. This study was carried out around in Kampala district around Nsambya region in the village college “ omukisisita” this data was collected from two people that is an old woman of 76years and a young man of 45years and all they were Banyankole people from western region “ one from Ntungamo and the other from Kashari districts”. Methods that were used included; observation, Questionnaire and interview. The participants were resistant in the first place not willing to give out the information but they later accepted after using a convincing tongue.
