Abstract
The research is entitled "the effectiveness of teaching and learning Arabic language in the Muslim secondary schools in Arua city"
The research objectives include: 1. To enhance a number of high school students to learn the Arabic language like other academic subjects; 2. Trying to correct and erase misconceptions about the Arabic language; 3. To show the problems facing students studying Arabic in secondary schools; The research findings include: 1 the majority of students who learn Arabic in Islamic schools in Arua city begun learning it from primary school, except for a few of them who begun learning it in secondary school. 2. The most challenging aspects of teaching Arabic to students in Islamic secondary schools in Arua city are vocabulary, grammar and speaking. The recommendation include: 1.Arabic teachers must put great emphasis on the speaking aspects of the language, grammar and vocabulary. 2. The ministry of education and sports to hold special training courses for Arabic language teachers.
3. Conducting other quasi-experimental studies that address the impact of training programs on developing Arabic language teachers knowledge of evaluating language skills
