Due to the emergency of different social media marketing strategies like adverts, Ads has become a major interference when a computer user is navigating through different digital online platforms.Even more challenging is how long it takes for the ads to go off a user’s screen of which normally the user has to wait until the time period of the ad elapses before they are given access to remove it. This has been found to be tedious in a way that is time consuming and labour consuming, especially when the ad has a longer time period and appears frequently forcing the user to have to remove them after every few minutes. The Objective of this project was to develop an AI human emotion recognition based ad blocker/remover system(mobile application) that helps users remove or maintain ads instantly based on their emotional states detected from their facial expressions at real time. The project involves the system detecting a human face,taking pictures and processing them( by the trained model) from which it is classified and compared with the ones in the dataset and the corresponding output is used by the application to take action on whether to remove or main an ad. various methods were used to gather requirements which includes interviews and study of existing systems. In conclusion, the use of this human emotion recognition based ad remover system enables users to remove ads that they are not interested in and maintain the ones that they are interested in instantly basing on their negative and positive emotions respectively hence reducing on time wastage and efforts used to remove the ad each time it pops up. In addition, it maintains users' convenience,and beautiful experience as they are navigating through the digital application i.e interacting with the application without any interference.
