The role of architecture in indoor sports facilities in Kampala, Uganda

Abstract

The sports in Uganda are rising with national teams of Basketball and Volleyball participating on the international platform which necessitates standard indoor sports facilities to host international tournaments. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of architecture in indoor sports facilities in Uganda. The research is going to be carried out in Kampala Uganda and will be conducted on the case studies in literature review of the design of indoor sports facilities and also studying selected indoor facilities in Kampala. The study aims to nature of the structure, spatial organization, and aesthetic quality of indoor sports facilities The study is meant to suggest recommendations for the design of standard indoor sports facilities.
