Assessing the extent of utilization of measurement software applications in quantity surveying in Uganda

Abstract

It is very important for QuantitySurveyors to be efficient and accurate while performing propose ideal strategies that can enhance the Usage level of Measurement Software Questionnairesand only 43 Questionnaires were receivedbackfor analysis. Both Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis were applied. Planswift wasidentified as the most used speed up the process of Measurement. Despite the benefits associated with usingMeasurement Applications.A total of 76 Quantity Surveyors were selectedand issued with a structured extremely effective in performing Measurement though their usage levelin Uganda is still study assessed the extent of utilization of Measurement Software Applications in Quantity effectiveness of these software, analyze the factors affecting theireffective utilization and Measurement software in use by Quantity Surveyors, examine the level of utilization and the of Measurement Software. Integration into academic curriculum was the topmost strategy to Measurement with the ultimate goal of producing accurate Bills of Quantities. Measurement the level of utilization of the Software and their organization, years of experience and on the use of software were the factors with the most significant impact on the utilizationlevel utilization level of Measurement Software. This research is helpful to Quantity Surveyors and Surveying Practice in Uganda.The objectives of this study were; to identify the different other Construction Players in gaining more invaluable insight into the current situation of Software Applications as a useful information technology tool can help a Quantity Surveyor to utilization of Measurement Software Applications. Meanwhile Kruskal-WallisTest conducted moderate.High initial cost of software Applications and insufficient training for professionals Measurement Softwareapplications. Theanalysis also revealed Measurement Software to be showed that there was no significant difference between the perception of the respondents on level of education and their perception on the effectiveness of the strategies to enhance the workshops, and training and capacity building to employees.Mann-Whitney U test revealed Software Applications,their use in developing nations like Uganda has remained unclear. This enhance the utilization level of Measurement Software along with demonstrations and that there was no significant difference between gender and their perception on the level of responsibility/job title. Furthermore, Kruskal-Wallis Test showed no association between one’s Measurement Software Usage in Uganda.
