    Abstract
The increasing adoption of mobile money services in Uganda has led to a rise in fraudulent activities such as impersonation, scamming, and PIN theft. The current authentication mechanisms, primarily relying on four- or five-digit PINs, are susceptible to brute-force attacks, social engineering, and unauthorized access. This study proposes the development of a Mobile Money Withdrawal Authentication System to enhance security by integrating biometric authentication (fingerprints) with existing PIN-based methods. The system aims to minimize fraudulent transactions, improve user authentication, and strengthen trust in mobile money transactions. The study employs a structured approach, including requirements gathering through surveys and interviews, system modeling using relational database management techniques, and implementation with secure authentication mechanisms. The proposed system is expected to provide a more robust and user-friendly authentication method for mobile money withdrawals, thereby reducing financial losses associated with fraud.
