    Abstract
    This thesis explored the significance of imagery on proverbial expressions with special reference to a select of lango proverbs from the Lango people of Northern Uganda. To establish this, the research interacted with various elderly people from the region and some methods used to collect data were questionnaires, interviews, focus group discussions and internet. The data collected was subjected to analysis with reference to other scholars with similar work. This research presents findings of the research and used it to make conclusions
