The health sector is among the most important sectors in the Republic of
Uganda. The rate at which health facilities such as hospitals, pharmacies
and medical laboratories are established and/or revamped increases annually. These facilities must provide spot-on services for their clients, as well
as acceptable working conditions for their medical personnel. This report
describes the development of an appointment and workload management
system designed to provide support to health facilities in terms of service
delivery for clients coupled with creation of equally favorable conditions for
all personnel. It describes the problem being addressed, objectives intended
for the project, and a review on the functionality of existing related systems.
The report also provides a full description of the development cycle (design
and implementation) of the system.
