    Job insecurity, motivation and job performance among employees of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC)

    Abstract
    The study examined the relationship between job insecurity, motivation and job performance among employees of national water and Sewerage Corporation. A correlation study design was adopted and samples of 100 respondents were selected in the organization; Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to test the hypotheses. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between job insecurity and motivation (r= .640**, p=.000<0.05). The study also found that there is a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and job performance (r=.482**, p=.000<0.05). The study also found that there is a significant positive relationship between motivation and job performance. (r= .675**, p=.000<0.05). And it was concluded that organizations take measures to ensure job security of their employees to increase their motivation as this improves job performance. Assurance of job security is a motivation thus high level of job performance which increases organization productivity.
