Abstract
This study assessed the effect of crop oil concentrate as a surfactant in herbicide application
where changes on plant weeds that is withering, yellowing, and mortality were assessed in plots
treated with herbicide only and herbicide and surfactant. It was carried out in Kirinya Plantation
located in Bugiri District of Eastern Uganda. Data was collected from treated plots established as
a complete randomized block, where each plot was measuring 2.5m by 2.5m, the time interval
during replication in each plots was the same (1minute and 10 seconds). In each treated plots
yellowing, withering and mortality of plant weeds were monitored for 10 day following
treatment. Data was analyzed using a T-test and the results showed that surfactant has a
significant effect
