Design and construction of an automated monitoring and data logging system for NWSC
Abstract
The system developed was an automated water quality data collection and logging monitoring system for (National Water and Sewerage Corporation) NWSC. It automatically collects water test results and sends it to a remote (Structured Query Language) SQL database. The system uses a 16*2 Liquid Crystal Display deployed at the distribution point. It uses a (Global System for Mobile communications) GSM module to send sensor information to the remote database. This provides real time data with high precision and regular backups to aid in data collection and analysis in relation to water quality testing hence reducing NWSC costs and save time of doing routine field visits.
