Statistical Analysis on the Dependence of Terms of Trade on the exchange rates and on interest rates in Uganda (2000-2017)

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to establish a relationship between terms of trade on exchange rates and on interest rates in Uganda. The objectives of the study were to find out the association between interest rates and exchange rates with terms of trade, to find out the effect of interest rates and exchange rates with terms of trade and the dependence of terms of trade on exchange rates and interest rates. A descriptive research was done and secondary was mainly used, it was obtained from Bank of Uganda website. SPSS package was used to establish the relationship between terms of trade on exchange rates and interest rates.
