production in Biguli Sub County. The research had special interest in how various factors affect
maize production. The main focus was on factors like main tools used in production, prices

the access to credit facilities by the farmers.
Data was strictly primary as questionnaires were designed and used to collect data. Data

The hypotheses tests found that factors like dependence on main tools and the highest level of
education were not significant and others such as access to credit facilities, prices farmers sell
their maize and the main type of labour employed were significant to maize production
The researcher suggested that sensitization should be done to enable respondent acquire some
knowledge about how credit facilities work and that there should be some training of farmers by
government on how to use tractor and it should also subsidize farmers in order to be able to
manage the purchase of tractors
