Decent work environment, employee engagement and turnover intentions among the employees of Kampala Capital City Authority
Abstract
Many employees intentions to have the organization is contributed to a lot of things including an employee’s work environment and their contribution at the work place. This research sought to examine the relationships between decent work environment and turnover intentions and employee engagement among the employees of Kampala Capital City Authority, the relationship A correlation study design that is quantitative and descriptive was adopted to establish the relationship between the variable. A total of 100 respondents, both male and female participated in the study. Data collected was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), where Pearson correlation (r) was used to test the hypothesis. The study revealed that there was a significant negative relationship between decent work environment and turnover intentions. The study also revealed that there is a significant relationship between turnover intention and employee engagement. The study further revealed that there is no significant positive relationship between decent work environment and employee engagement.
