    Abstract
    The study was on assessment of management of materials and supplies records with a purpose to assess the management of materials and supplies records at Kawaala Health centre III. The objectives of the study include; Identifying the types of materials and supplies records generated , examine the current status of the management of material and supplies records, identify challenges to effective management of materials and supplies records and to develop strategies for effective management of materials and supplies at Kawaala Health centre III. Data was collected using interviews and observation methods. Data was collected from 2 respondents that is 1Records Officer, 1 Data officer. The study focused on establishing weakness in the entire records management system and further suggested strategies that will help the health Centre promote effective and efficient records management. As a result, it was recommended that the ministry of health and KCCA should intervene by increasing on the resources given to help on the smooth running of the health unit services offered. The findings of the study drew to a conclusion that the organization agreed and realized that records are very important in the operation of Organizational activities. There is hope that using these research findings, Kawaala Health Centre III will direct more efforts to improvement of its records management system so as to register more efficiency in whatever services it offers.
