    Abstract
    This project was aimed at the development an Android location-based marketing information services (MyMarket application) for markets within Kampala capital city. The main objective of this project was to develop an Android location-based marketing information system (M.M.A) that enhance easy accessibility of market information and also help in overcoming the hurdles customers go through to locate market places and also get fair and just prices for their desired goods inclusive of making transaction payments through their mobile phones. All in all increasing the levels of awareness about agricultural market in- formation. The approaches used to solve this problem included; gathering requirements, designing, implementing, testing and validating the system. Information for system study was gathered using tools such as interviews, observation, questionnaires and study of relevant literature. DFDs and ERDs were used in the analysis and design of the system. The technologies used in the implementation of the objectives of this study included, Java, PHP, CSS, HTML, Firebase, Android studio) and the Database Management System employed was MySQL. The outcome of the project was an integrated system capable of locating markets depending on GPS to deter- mine the location of the buyer and the markets, calculating the proximity of the market from the buyer, locating the markets on the Google map, enabling users to locate nearest markets around them with fair and just prices of agricultural produces; on top of that allows customers to make payment transactions using their mobile phones and keeping record of the users who made searches about market information for agricultural produces. Upon successful testing and system validation, we believe that the system can automate dissemination of agri- cultural information in Kampala capital city markets fairly, e ectively and e ciently
