Poor performance in communication design among year one students of 2016/2017 semester one.

Abstract

Communication design in which traditionally known as graphics design is an elective course At Mtsifa which involves the practice of planning and shaping a message in content form and delivering effective and expressive communication design crafts The performance in this course is believed to have declined in the year one class of 2016 2017. The purpose of the study was to assess the performance at the first year students 2016,2017 in communication design in semester one. The study was also meant to point out the possible of the poor performance and suggest solutions. This study covered Mtsifa and targeted the ..res and students of communication design. Sampling, interviews, observation and questionnaire method were used in data collection. In chapter four it was realized that the students did not completely perform poorly and also that student related factors are the ones that mostly affect performance
