    Abstract
The following report is a record of activities, findings and conclusions for the Semliki basin field study conducted in June, 2018. This includes objectives of the study and an overview of the geologic setting of the study area in the introduction, data acquisition methods and the materials/ equipment used and a description of lithology and stratigraphy of the basement and sediments in the study area in chapter three. Basin analysis and facies analysis are evaluated in detail in chapter four. Furthermore, structural analysis in both basement and overlying sediments is described in chapter five, geophysics of the area in chapter six and finally the discussion of observations and results to arrive at logical conclusions in chapter seven. In this report, the reader will also find sketches and photographs illustrating the structural and stratigraphic setting of the Semliki basin at various areas in the area studied.
