Abstract
The study sought to examine the relationship between unemployment, attitude, and drug abuse among the youths of Kisenyi 2. A correlational design was adopted. A total of 60 questionnaires which consisted of closed end questions to collect information from respondents. Considering Krejcie & Morgan 1970 the researcher used and estimated population of 60 having a sample size of 59 respondents Data was entered into a computer using statistical packages for social scientists (SPSS). Findings of the study indicated that unemployment and attitude are not significantly related. However, attitude and drug abuse are significantly related as well as unemployment and drug abuse are significantly related among the youths. In conclusion the researcher concluded that the findings show that unemployment and attitude are positively related, attitude and drug abuse are positively related and also unemployment and drug abuse are significantly related. Recommendations; the researcher argued that there should be a longitudinal study to be conducted such that they can find out more on the link about the unemployment, attitude and drug abuse among the youths. Furthermore, the researcher suggested that the government should educate the youths about entrepreneurial skills because most of the times youths look out for jobs rather than job makers.
