    Designing a digital library collection for Uganda Bureau of Statistics Library

    Abstract
    This Project report presents a design of a digitized library collection, to meet the needs of the users in an effective and efficient library. The study used qualitative research design, while data collection methods included; questionnaires, interviews, and observation to obtain data. The major findings showed that most of the digital collections of the organization were purchased. In a nut shell there was a big need to offer digital services to users since the findings showed that reference service was the biggest service offered for easy accessibility, of quality resources, ease of information among others. Strategies to overcome the challenges in digitizing the library collections were obtained which included. Increase of connectivity band width, comps and definitely recruiting and training staff.
