Guidelines for provision of library and information services for Makerere Business Institute

Abstract

The purpose of the project was to propose strategies for the provision of library services at maker ere Business Institute. The objectives of this study were: To investigate about the performance of the current library service used by maker ere business institute. To analyze the current library services so as to identify problems associated with them for maker ere business institute library. To develop and design guidelines for provision of library service for maker ere business institute library. To test and validate the develop library service guidelines for maker ere business institute library. A self developed questionnaire for students was developed as instrument for data collection.In addition,an interview guide was used to establish in detail, what challenges the library staff faced in the provision of library services and to know the library services offered and there status,observation was also critical in the research
