    Employee stress, employee motivation and job performance among nurses of Mulago Hospital

    Abstract
    The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between employee stress, motivation and job performance. The study was intending to achieve the objectives ; to find out whether employee stress and motivation are related, to establish whether employee stress and job performance are significantly related, to ascertain whether employee motivation and job performance are related.The study was using a sample of 89 respondents who were adopted using sampling technique data was collected using self a administered questionnaires and later analyzed using SPSS (statistical package for social scientists) version 20.0The findings show that stress and motivation are significantly related (r=.410**,p=.000),further more motivation and job performance have a positive statistical significant relationship (r=.315, p=.003). However findings show that there is no relationship between stress and job performance (r=.208, p=.151).But it was recommended that to effectively manage stress, employees should work hand in hand With the employers and administrators to use cognitive, effective and behavioral strategies.
