    Abstract
ABSTRACT The study was basically related to the use of a butterfly as an inspiration to make casual fashion designs in Kampala and it was set on the following objectives for which the researcher set her study obligations and justification as stated below; i. To find out whether good designs can be derived from butterflies in order to make casual dresses by current Kampala fashion designers, ii. To find out the possibilities of applying the designs derived from butterflies on the current Uganda fashions, iii. To find out if fashion design can be improved through the use of designs derived from butterflies, iv. To analyze the challenges that fashion designers can meet during the production of the fashion outfits inspired by butterflies. The researcher in chapter one presented the introductory part of the entire study by presenting the problem statement upon which the study was set whereby, she also presented the justifications for which the study was intended to achieve after completion. Chapter two of this draft research is a presentation of all related literature to the study objectives and the researcher tried to analyze them in real depth in relation to the study in research. In this chapter, the researcher tried to explain more in review to quotations based on the study in research. In chapter three which is the methodology, the researcher presents the research design and all field research data collection tools in review of how the study was to be managed citing the population sample, study scope among others. This chapter is a justification of all the methods that the researcher tried to use throughout the study gestation. In chapter four of this research study, the researcher tried to analyze the collected and acquired data by systematically presenting it according to the research objectives and it was established that to some extent, the butterfly may have been used as an inspiration source by fashion designers to make casual dresses in Kampala but of which the study found out that the butterfly was largely used as an inspiration source among western fashion designers. In chapter five of this research draft, the researcher presents the study conclusions and further tries to make possible recommendations based on the study analysis. The researcher also provides an over view of the entire study and suggests further justifications for which the future research studies can be carried out based on inspiration sources in review of fashion and design.
