    Abstract
This study was carried out to find out the factors that influence women’s desired number of children in the eastern region of Uganda. The main objective of the study was to assess and establish the factors that influence the desired number of children in the eastern region of Uganda. The research entirely used secondary data extracted from 2016 Uganda Demographic and Health Survey. The data set that was used in this study was specifically for women in the reproductive ages of 15-49 years. A sample from the Eastern region of Uganda of 2926 was used during data analysis. The data was compiled, edited and validated using STATA for data analysis. The data was then processed in MS word in form of tables that contained frequency distribution and percentages. Frequency tables and cross tabulation tables are the main form of data presentation. The findings of the study indicated the various determinants of desired number of children.
