    Abstract
The study examined the impact of persuasive communication on attitude and behavior change in the face of HIV/AIDS among third year students of Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. The purpose of the study was to investigate the impact of persuasive communication on attitude and behavior change in the face of HIV/AIDS. The study methodology was quantitative and a correctional research design was adopted. Simple random techniques were used to determine the sample size from the target population. The sample size of 169 respondents was derived using Krejcie and Morgan’s (1970) table for determining sample size. Primary data was collected by administering questionnaires which focused on answering the research questions by respondents. Secondary data was obtained from journals, articles, books and reports in relation to study objectives. Data analysis was done using percentages in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences frequencies and later tested the hypotheses using the Pearson correlation coefficient (r).
