dc.description.abstract | This study set out to establish the relationship between Job Security, Employee Motivation and Performance in organizations. It was guided by a number of objectives which included examining the relationship between Job Security and Employee Motivation, to examine the relationship between Employee Motivation and Performance and to examine the relationship between Job Security and performance. The study was undertaken at Elga Security Co. Uganda using a self-administered questionnaire that was distributed to a sample of 77 employees of the organization. The data was entered in a computer and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social scientists (SPSS). The hypotheses of the study were verified using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation based on certain conditions that described the data. From the study it was concluded that Job security had an effect on Employee Motivation. It was also concluded that there is a negative relationship between Employee Motivation and Performance and that there is a positive relationship between Job security and performance of employees. A number of recommendations were made after the study and these included; organizations involving their employees in staff capacity building trainings in order to increase the staff employability and hence increase the feeling of employees feeling secure. In addition, organizations were recommended to issue written contracts to their employees highlighting the terms and conditions of their employment while clearly highlighting that the employees’ tenures are not be ended untimely without clear circumstances. The circumstances under which an employee’s tenure can be terminated should be highlighted as well. | en_US |
