| dc.description.abstract | The study aimed at studying the relationship between Occupational Stress, Employee Engagement and Turnover Intentions among Teachers in Kampala District. The study adopted a correlation study design with sample size of 68 teachers from Kawempe Moslem secondary school Data was collected from respondents using self-administered standard questionnaire and through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) data was entered and analysed. Results from this study revealed that there was a negative significant relationship between occupational stress and employee engagement among teachers (r=-.439**, p>0.01). Implying that highly engaged teachers are less likely to experience occupational stress. The results also showed that there was a negative relationship between employee engagement turnover intentions (r=.-704**p>0.01). Implying that highly engaged employee are less likely to leave the organization compared to less engaged employees. Lastly the result indicated that there was positive significant relationship between occupational stress and turnover .352*p> 0.05). Results from this study revealed that teachers who experience high levels of occupational stress are more likely to leave their jobs than teachers with low occupational stress. | en_US |
