SMS based ticket booking management system for cinemas

Abstract

The main objective of this project was to develop an SMS based ticket booking management system and specifically to design a model for the SMS based ticket booking management system for cinemas. During the study period questionnaires, observations and interviews were very instrumental in helping us gather information from the various participants. In order to solve the problems and achieve our objectives, the creation and use of SMS functionality on the created system was necessary. A data flow diagram and ERD helped us to design a model for the system. This system improves operations by making it quite easy to perform and it's also fast since one uses a computer or mobile phone compared to the manual system that slows work since everything is done manually. We therefore recommend that cinemas like Cineplex garden city should use SMS based ticket booking system where codes for movies are sent to customers, this reduces the time taken to book or get tickets.
