dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study was establishing the relationship between Working Conditions, Job Strain and Compliance among the Traffic Police Officers of KMP North Regional Traffic Headquarters based at Kawempe, Kampala. The objectives of the study were; to examine the relationship between Job Strain and Working Conditions, to examine the relationship between Working Conditions and Compliance, to establish whether Job Strain and Compliance are significantly related and finally to establish the predictive potential of Job Strain and Working Conditions on Compliance. The study was conducted from KMP North Regional Traffic Headquarters based at Kawempe, Kampala. The Population of the study comprised of Traffic Police Officers who operate at the above named Regional Police Headquarters. A Sample of One hundred and thirty two (132) Respondents was selected using Simple Random Sampling. The study used Colorational Research Design so as to enable the Researcher to get detailed information in examining the relationships between the study variables (Working Conditions and Job Strain). The Study findings revealed the positive significant relationship between Working Conditions and Job Strain, a positive significant relationship between Job Strain and Compliance and also a positive significant relationship between Working Conditions and Compliance. As the recommendation, the Management of Traffic Police Directorate should emphasize on improving the working conditions of its staff members to avoid Job Strain in the work environment. There should also be priority in the field of work related Rules and Regulations to improve on Compliance with the legal framework established in the said Police Directorate. en_US
