dc.description.abstract Galileo Galilei started to improve the Dutch spyglass. Mainly to increase on the magnification up to 30 times, In this research project the objective lens used has a focal length of 20cm and the eye piece has focal length of 5cm and this telescope produces a magnification of 4. From the image formed by the telescope constructed, it can’t focus an object at very long distances (at infinity), this is due to very small magnification produced by the lenses. it is also recommended that further studies should be carried out on how to reduce achromatic aberration and how to increase on magnification by use of lenses that have a larger difference in focal lengths i.e., F/f = a large number, where F is the focal length of the objective convex lens and f is the focal length of the eye piece concave lens en_US
