dc.description.abstract The study was undertaken with the aim of examining the relationship between job stress, job satisfaction and job performance among nurses in the emergency unit at Mulago hospital. The study was intending to achieve the objectives; to examine the relationship between job stress and job performance, job stress and job satisfaction and finally job satisfaction and job performance. A correlational study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between job stress, job satisfaction and job performance among nurses in the emergency care unit at Mulago hospital. The study used a sample of 32 respondents who were adopted using simple random sampling technique. The data used was collected using self-administered questionnaires, later analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) and Pearson's Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to determine the level of significance of the hypotheses. In conclusion, the results from the study revealed that there was a positive but insignificant relationship between job stress and job satisfaction, there was a negative significant relationship between job satisfaction and job performance and there was a negative significant relationship between job stress and job performance. en_US
