Academic school management mobile application

Abstract

This a representation of the Academic School Management Mobile Application project development for schools. This project was worthy developing because of the existing need to automate school activities and phase out the manual system or paper based system.The main aim of this project was to develop a flexible mobile application that brings fundamental activities of the school like attendance, report making, timetabling and ID creation in one place. We interacted with various stakeholders and collected information through interviews, bench marking, observations and review of literature on different aspects of the project. We used Entity Relationship Diagrams and context diagrams to analyze and design our system. The prototype has been tested and it has been observed that the system successfully registers students, facilitates attendance recording by the teachers and generates a student card and overall transcript for all students and a feasible timetable satisfying the constraints (requirements). It has also been shown that the application facilitates to create the student identity card by the administrator. We hope that our application provides a feasible solution to the existing paper based school management system.
