dc.description.abstract This project aims to fix the problems with how patients register at Mukono Church of Uganda Hospital by creating a web-based patient registration system. The current manual system has problems with delays, mistakes, and access issues. This results in poor experiences for patients and makes operations less efficient. The project used a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach. This method allowed for repeated development, testing, and improvement of the system together with healthcare workers, staff, and patients. The new system is designed to make registration easier by using digital tools to be more accurate, cut down on waiting time, and better manage information. It includes safe login systems, updates data right away, and helps schedule appointments. This makes it easy to use for both patients and hospital workers. The method involved gathering a lot of information using questionnaires, and observing how the current registration process works. This helped in understanding what the system needs. The system was built using current web tools such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with a strong database system like MySQL, to work well with the current healthcare setup. The system was thoroughly tested and tried out on a small scale to make sure it was reliable, safe, and pleased the users. The results show that many people like the new system, and it is likely to be accepted and used well. The project shows that the online registration system will make registering patients at Mukono Church of Uganda Hospital much faster, more accurate, and more satisfying. Recommendations include focusing on protecting data, offering lots of help and training for users, and keeping the system easy to use and dependable by regularly checking and updating it. en_US
