Abstract
This report details the steps and procedure followed in the design of the mini composter, used for composting of organic kitchen waste in homes for management of organic wastes. This report also covers the background of the study, and the literature review concerning the different composting technologies as well as the design considerations for the design and construction of a mini composter.

A final year project report submitted to the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering in partial fulfilment for the award of the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering of Makerere University.
