Abstract
A convict is defined as a person who has been found guilty of a crime and is serving a sentence of confinement for that crime. Being found guilty by a court is not proof of objective guilt (factual guilt) but is an indication that the evidence adduced to court point to the conclusion that the accused committed the said crime.
