dc.description.abstract The development of Chinese education in Africa, especially in Uganda, is gradually receiving attention. As part of this development, the introduction of Chinese language courses in Ugandan schools, such as Saint Mary's Secondary School, has become a topic of interest. This paper aims to explore the initial experiences and insights gained from the introduction of Chinese language education at Saint Mary's Secondary School in Uganda. Through an analysis of student enthusiasm, teaching resources, cross-cultural communication, student learning progress, and interest in Chinese language and culture, this paper aims to provide reflections and discussions on the initial experiences of Chinese language education. It further discusses how to optimize Chinese education and promote further development of cultural exchange and understanding between China and Uganda.
