dc.description There is also comparison of different receiver and transmit diversity schemes, like the Maximum Ratio Transmission (MRT), Selection Combining (SC), Switch and Stay Combining (SSC), Equal Gain Combining (EGC), among others. Techniques like Zero Forcing Beamforming (ZFB), Articificial Noise (AN), discussed together with future work and receommendations. So interesting!!! en_US
dc.description.abstract This thesis involves secrecy analysis of a secure multi-user selection scheme for Internet of Things nodes. The proposed scheme is TAS-SC-ZFB in the presence of multiple legitimate users and both colluding and non-colluding eavesdroppers. The scheme employs transmit antenna selection at the transmitter, selection combining at the legitimate receiver and zero forcing beamforming at the friendly jammer to obfuscate the eavesdroppers in the system. Exact closed form expressions for; secrecy outage probability, asymptotic secrecy outage probability at the high signal-to-noise ratio regime are obtained for both colluding and non-colluding cases. Power allocation problem is formulated and solved so as to minimize the secrecy outage probability of the system analyzed. We also considered the worst case scenario when eavesdroppers are colluding and derived expressions for ergordic secrecy rate while assuming partial channel state information. Lastly, analytical and simulation results are obtained to justify the derived expressions. en_US
