dc.description.abstract The research analyzes the place and value of symbolism. While putting into use a mixed methods technique, I used a secondary source of data analysis that is to say a textbook and found some information related to my research and also carried out an interview with an anonymous storyteller. My findings show that there has not been adequate research made about the topic of symbolism in Lumasaba Folktales which, therefore, indicates the need to put more effort in doing so. My research emphasized the importance of having Symbolism in the folktales of the Bamasaba. en_US
