Abstract
This study was undertaken to address the pressing need for an efficient file-tracking system at the Capital Markets Authority (CMA). The objectives of this research were to identify the types of records typically handled at CMA, explore the challenges faced in managing these records, and propose a solution through the development and implementation of a user-centric file-tracking system. The research followed a qualitative approach, incorporating interviews, document analysis, and observations. Key findings revealed that CMA manages a diverse range of records, including legal and regulatory documents, financial records, market data, personnel records, and more. Challenges identified encompass record disorganization, time inefficiency, and security concerns. The solution to these challenges lay in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of a file tracking system tailored to CMA's specific requirements. This system offers a user-friendly interface, robust security controls, and real-time tracking capabilities. The research culminated in the successful implementation of the file tracking system, providing CMA with an efficient solution to its record management challenges. This study serves as a valuable example of how qualitative research methodologies can drive practical and user-oriented solutions in organizational contexts.
