dc.description.abstract This correlational study entitled Belief in the Just World, Emotional Intelligence and Counter Place Work Behaviors among Workers in Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital where 86 nurses were interviewed. the study examined the following objectives; to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and Counter productive work place behaviors, to examine the relationship between belief in the Just world and counter productive work behaviors and to examine the moderating role of emotional intelligence on the relationship between belief in a just world and counter productive work behaviors. The purpose of the study was to find out whether belief in a just world, emotional intelligence and counterproductive work place behavior among nurses are inter-related. The study revealed that belief in a just world positively influences emotional intelligence which means that an increase in belief in a just world leads to an increase in emotional intelligence among nurses. The study also revealed a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and counterproductive work behavior and lastly the study revealed that there is a negative relationship between belief in a just world and counter productive work behaviors. en_US
