| dc.description.abstract | This report covers the introduction and background, objectives, literature review, methodology, system architecture, requirements, system design and implementation of the Employee Appraisal System (EAS) at the Office of the Auditor General. This system was designed to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the performance evaluation process. It addresses the challenges of limited staff visibility associated with the existing manual process by incorporating key features such as streamlined scheduling, customizable performance metrics, self-assessment modules, personalized development plans, and advanced data analytics and reporting. EAS was developed using prototyping methodology as a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach. This iterative process enabled us to create a series of functional prototypes, allowing for continuous feedback from stakeholders and end-users. This approach ensured that the final system closely aligned with user needs and organizational requirements. The system's architecture was carefully designed to ensure scalability and ease of use, facilitating smooth integration with existing HR systems and workflows. Extensive requirements analysis and data collection was conducted through stakeholder consultations, which informed the development of a system tailored to meet the specific needs and strategic goals of OAG. The development process involved a detailed analysis of existing appraisal systems from different organizations, stakeholder requirements gathering, system design, and iterative testing to ensure reliability and user satisfaction. The final implementation has demonstrated significant improvements in the efficiency of the appraisal process, user engagement, and overall organizational performance. | en_US |
