Integrated bus transport management system

Abstract

This project is about Integrated Bus Transport Management System which is a web based. This is the system for getting information about different bus company travels, travel fairs, bus routes and booking for a travel remotely online from any location and also helps the bus owners to manage their businesses. It also helps to reduce paper to track any bus information such as seat booking information, ticket booking information and any kind of user can access the information. The main purpose of our system is to enable a user to make a line booking for a travel, and find inconveniences in seating arrangement of the bus, for any travel route in our country. They can use our system online thus, no need to go to the bus station. The business owners not only benefit from general users but also maintain their businesses and reduce paper work to save information like type of bus seats, departure time, seat bookings. Every record is saved in the database and the collected money from bus ticket from users they can know the update of transactions. The modern technology is used to implement the Integrated Bus Transport Management System and make it more secure like the PHP, the JAVASCRIPT and the use of HTML, CSS, BOOTSTRAP to make it user-friendly. The requirements were collected and analyzed using some data collection methods like observation, questionnaire, and interview and data was analyzed using spreadsheets to come up with results. Process modeling was used to design the system which contains the context diagram and data flow diagram. Together with the data modeling that has an Entity Relationship Diagram. Integrated Bus Transport Management System was validated using the evaluation forms which contain questions that were asked to the users after interacting with our system.
